Danny's Diamonds

Welcome to the world of Danny's Diamonds! The Diamonds are a young group of St. Daniel's members 75 years and up. The organization is still young, still taking shape, but the Diamonds themselves have gelled into a warm, congenial group. Activities have been varied. In general, we seek to provide a variety of opportunities: our members range in age from 75 to 94.

There are some whose forebears were members of this church more than a hundred years ago, and some joined as recently as three years ago. Their physical abilities are as varied as their interests.

We have enjoyed a train excursion where we were kidnapped by Confederate soldiers at a Civil War Encampment, a Pig Stomach Dinner, "hikes", card and game afternoons, lunch in the country, and visits with our shut-ins. We have shared morning Ash Wednesday services followed by lunch, good talk, and time together.

We look forward to lots of good time ... many shared hours ... more opportunities to enjoy and support each other.

Coordinator for the group, Mary Catherine Leeper (well under 75!), shares a wealth of ideas, energy, humor, and love with the Diamonds.
