The 2011 Christmas Vespers Service will be held on Sunday, December 18 at 3:30 PM in the Conrad Weiser Senior High School auditorium. There will be open seating and a free will offering held.

For the past six years, an annual December Church Vespers Service has been presented, two years at St. Daniel's Church and the last four at the Conrad Weiser High School. This Christmas inspirational service has grown in popularity over the past six years with attendance now reaching over 750. Music is provided by the Reading Pops Orchestra, St. Daniel's senior choir, bell choirs, and choir and guest soloists. The worship service includes a message from the Pastor, lessons, and congregational singing. Extensive festive decorations are prepared each year including over 100 poinsettias which line the front of the stage.

In 2007, the 6th Annual Vespers Service at the school was held. Due to an ice storm on the scheduled day of the program, the Vespers was postponed until the following Sunday, December 23, 2007. In spite the postponement and rainy day on the 23d, an estimated 600 people, plus the 90 musicians, attended. Again, the stage area was decorated with poinsettias and thousands of lights on large wreaths and snowflakes. Katherine Aregood-Crusi was our guest soloist along with our own women's trio of Tara Bernstel, Gretchen Patti and Melissa Small, and baritone Robert Bernstel. The senior choir sang three pieces and the junior and senior bells played pre-program music for 20 minutes. The Reading Pops Orchestra, which was able to reschedule using some alternate players, did their usual admirable job and Pastor Wayne offered an inspirational message of hope and re-birth.
